Niagara Falls Trains, Rail Travel
Niagara Falls is well served by passenger rail, by VIA Rail from Toronto, Ontario and by Amtrak from Buffalo, New York.
Maple Leaf Route
Amtrak's Maple Leaf route connects New York City and Toronto, via the beautiful Hudson River Valley, New York's wine country, the incredible gorges of the Finger Lakes region, nearby the dramatic spectacle of Niagara Falls.
Summer Niagara GO Train
During the summer, GO Train has weekend trains from Toronto (with stops ar Union Station, Exhibtion, Port Credit, Oakville and BUrlington) to the Niagara Region (with stops in St Catharines and Niagara Falls). The trains depart Friday evening and throughoutt Saturday and Sunday, providing excellent access to Niagara Falls and the Wine Country. This train service also gives Niagara residents access to Toronto's weekend activities.
One-way Fares are about $10 for children and seniors, and $20 for adults and students. 50,000 passengers take advantage of this service each summer.
