Where
This city with 220,000 residents lies on the east bank of the Niagara River, midway between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The city's southern border abutts the norhtern suburbs of Buffalo, New York, including the communities of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda, but the lands to the north and east are largely rural and agricultural in nature. The city has three bridges that cross to Canada. The city's success lie in three key industries: international trade, mational defence goods & services, and tourism focused around the Falls themselves.

Homes
Niagara Falls has grown westward from the Niagara River, and has expanded eastward along the top of the Niagara Escarpment. The City of Niagara Falls lies west of the railyard, while the Town of Niagara lies east of them. The newer areas in the City are closer to the Niagara University two campuses, between the Rainbow Bridge and the New York Power reservoir. The other part of town that has been built up more recently is that part that lies east of Military Rd, closer to the Niagara Falls International Airport. As you move east of the airport, you move into the more rural Town of Wheatley.

Schools
There are 20 public and private schools located in the City of Niagara Falls, including 15 public elementary and private schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools. The city has its own university, and post secondary students have a great selection of schools to the south in Buffalo.

Shopping
Niagara Fall's tourist shopping is in the Falls area, between Rounbow Boulevard and Niagara St, clustered around the city's casino and convention center. The city's major non-tourist shooping is east of I-190, where the big box stores and malls have clustered along Military Rd and Niagar Falls BlvdThere is another cluster of shops along the Portage Rd near Thorold Stone Rd, with the city's largest malls adjoining the QEW, with Niagara Square t the south and Mount Carmel Centre to the north, and Canada One Factory Outlets in the middle at Lundy's Lane.

Recreation
Niagara Falls has 1 community centre, 4 ice arenas, 1 marina, 2 theatres, 1 cinema, 1 casinos, 2 skating arenas, and 1 public golf course. Niagara Falls has access to the Robert Moses Parkway that winds along the Lower Niagara to the north, and has ready access to several state parks, including the Niagara Reservation (at tThe Falls), Reservior (at the power reservoir), and Buckhorn Island (on the northern tip of Grand Island, a 50 cent toll away). For the young and young-at-heart there are plenty of entertainment & arcade type attractions in Niagara Falls.
